Best transportation options
All the spots in Bali can be reached witha scooter. You will save a lot of money this way as day tours can be quite expensive.
However, keep in mind that you do need a motorcycle license in your own country to be covered by your travel insurance in case you have an accident, so the risk is on you if you choose to drive without one.
We only had an international license and you can rent scooters with this license but you are not insured. We have scooters at home so we feel very confident. If it is your first time driving in SE Asia then we recommend to rather spend extra money and take the tours to all the spots instead!
Nevertheless, here are the exact spots where we rented scooters: (prices vary, please read the reviews on each business to verify what you should pay)
Munduk Scooter: +62 857 3752 6997
Amed (East Bali): +62 877 6100 2500
Ubud and Seminyak: Text Gusti on Whatsapp +6282340186448 for the newest and cheapest bikes in Ubud.
Hiring a private driver is a convenient option, allowing you to relax and enjoy the scenic journey.
This can be arranged through hotels or local tour operators for around USD 55$ per day.
