Einhyrningur Mountain, located in the southern highlands of Iceland, is a unicorn-shaped peak that stands out for its unique and peculiar shape. It's not very tall, only about 750 meters, but it's easily visible from the Emstrur route and is a popular spot for visitors. The mountain is surrounded by the Tindfjoll Glacier and River Markarfljot, and its foot plains are home to Icelandic rams. Legend has it that the famous Norse explorer Erik the Red used to live in this area, adding to the mountain's mysterious allure. To reach Einhyrningur, you'll need a 4x4 car as the road is a mountain road. So if you're up for an adventure and want to see a unicorn-shaped mountain, make sure to add Einhyrningur to your Iceland itinerary!
