They're very expensive

I would avoid hiring any official tour guides in Burundi. They receive very little foreign visitors and thus charge sky high prices for anyone that requests their services. If you know how much things cost in Burundi, you know some of these practices are beyond unethical. For example, they will charge you $20 per person for the drum ceremony for a group of five people. They only pay the drum ceremony people $20 for the whole show and keep everything else themselves.

People speak English in Burundi thus my suggestion is to hire a driver that can take you to all the places you want to visit. Use my map for suggestions.

The AirBNB host that I recommend can help you find a driver at a fair price to do all these things.
