The museum is housed in an ancient convent, but it is best known because inside there is the skeleton of a woman who died while pregnant, dating back to about 25,000 years ago. The remains were found in the Archaeological and Natural Park of Santa Maria di Agnano (which can be visited and is only 2 km from the city centre).
