bericht van Dani Guindo

Gerðuberg Cliffs, located on the Snӕfellsnes Peninsula in Iceland, are a stunning natural wonder made up of perfectly shaped hexagonal basalt columns that look like they were hand-carved. These unique formations were created by lava flows cooling rapidly by the sea during an ancient eruption. Standing between seven and 14 meters tall, these columns stretch along a cliff for over a kilometer, resembling a fortress wall. Visitors can easily access Gerðuberg while exploring the peninsula and marvel at this geological masterpiece that is sure to leave them in awe.
