It is one of the most beautiful markets in Mallorca and you can find everything: local fruit and vegetables, cheeses, preserves, cold cuts and flower stalls, clothing, kitchen accessories and furniture, among others. And, of course, handicrafts such as the pottery of Pòrtol, the stuff de llengües (typical fabric of Majorca) or the sculptures made with the famous stone of Santanyí. The market is held on Wednesday and Saturday and this is what it’s about: walking through the narrow streets of the pueblo, among stone houses and floral decorations, browsing here and there between the stalls. Visit the market early in the morning, avoiding the 12/13 crowds.

🇮🇹 È uno dei mercati più belli di Maiorca e vi si può trovare di tutto: prodotti ortofrutticoli locali, formaggi, conserve, salumi e banchi di fiori, abbigliamento, accessori per la cucina e arredamento, tra gli altri. E, naturalmente, artigianato, come la ceramica di Pòrtol, la roba de llengües (tessuto tipico di Maiorca) o le sculture elaborate con la famosa pietra di Santanyí. Il Mercato si tiene mercoledì e sabato e il bello è proprio questo: passeggiare tra le vie strette del pueblo, tra case di pietra e decorazioni floreali, curiosando qua e là tra le bancarelle. Visita il mercato al mattino presto, evitando così la folla delle 12/13.
