Via Ferrata Loen is a highly popular tourist attraction in Norway, which appeals to both outdoor enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike. Built in 2012, it quickly became one of the top tourist attractions in Norway and the route can be connected with a ride on the World's steepest gondola ride. Via Ferrata Loen is located in the Vestland county of Norway, set up along the south face of Mount Hoven. The route has 2.1 km / 1.4 mi of ferrata-climbing with a total ascent of 988 m / 3241 ft and a total hiking distance of 700 m / 0.4 mi. It starts in May and ends in October. A great way to experience it is to either hire a guide for an organized trip or to climb it solo (with certain safety regulations) after registering your intentions with the local tour company. All you need is a helmet, harness, lanyard, gloves, and approach shoes. Don't forget to stop and take photos on the way! With plenty of time to take in the stunning views of Lodalen, Lake Lovatnet, and the Innvikfjord, this is definitely an activity not to miss when in Norway.
