bericht van Hello Mallory

Independence Pass, located in central Colorado, is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 12,095 feet on the Continental Divide in the Sawatch Range of the Rocky Mountains. It's a popular spot for visitors when it's open in warmer weather, offering stunning views and opportunities for activities like rock climbing and backcountry skiing. The pass was first sighted by Zebulon Pike in 1806 and has a rich history dating back to the days of prospectors and settlers. With heavy snowfall in winter, the pass is closed during that time, cutting off direct access to Aspen from the east.
