Dammahütte SAC accomodation is a fantastic place for travelers to stay while visiting the Kanton Uri . Located in at the foot of Dammastock (the highest peak in kanton Uri), in Göscheneralp, it offers 22 beds and lovely mountain and glacier views.

HIKE DETAILS:

Start: Göscheneralp, Dammagletscher bus stop. You can also drive up , there is a huge parking lot by the Berggasthaus Dammagletscher.

The hike takes you along the lake on the left side. Approximately it take 4 hours with 800 meters of elevation gain. Distance is approximately 10 km in and out.

TIP: on the way back take the path on the other side of the lake for a full circle hike around the lake. It is an absolutely beautiful hike.
