Message from Ian G Black

Culross, a charming village in Fife, Scotland, is steeped in history and legend. Founded by Saint Serf in the 6th century, it was once a bustling port city on the Firth of Forth. Known for its coal mining industry and salt panning, Culross also boasts unique buildings like Culross Palace and Abbey. With its picturesque streets and rich heritage, this wee town has even been a backdrop for films like "Captain America: The First Avenger." It's a hidden gem worth exploring for a taste of Scotland's past. One of the most picturesque villages in Scotland with cobbled streets and ochre-coloured palace. The streets of Culross have appeared many times in the hit US TV series Outlander. This Mercat Cross area one of the most recogniseable places in the town
