bericht van Ian G Black

Corpach is a village in the Scottish Highlands, known for its natural harbor and historical significance. The name Corpach supposedly comes from Gaelic meaning "field of corpses," hinting at its past as a resting place for chieftains' coffins en route to burial on Iona. In World War I, it was a base for the United States Navy, and during World War II, it served as an engineering base for the Royal Navy. Today, Corpach remains a picturesque spot with a rich history worth exploring.
