bericht van Ian G Black

Dunfermline Abbey and Palace in Scotland was a popular hangout spot for Scottish monarchs back in the day. It all started in the 11th century when Malcolm III set up shop there. The palace, connected to the abbey, saw some royal action with James IV and Margaret Tudor chilling there. Anne of Denmark also spruced up the place in the late 1500s, adding a swanky new building known as the "Queen's House." But by the 1700s, the palace was pretty much abandoned, leaving behind just a kitchen, cellars, and a cool south wall with killer views of the Firth of Forth.
