Dunrobin Castle, located in the Highland area of Scotland, is a stately home and the family seat of the Earl of Sutherland. Originally built in the Middle Ages, the castle was extensively remodeled by Sir Charles Barry in the 19th century, giving it a Scottish Baronial style with French Renaissance influences. With 189 rooms, it's the largest castle in the northern Highlands. The gardens, completed in 1850, are inspired by the French formal style of Versailles, featuring parterres around circular pools with fountains. Visitors can explore the castle, its museum displaying trophy heads and artifacts, and enjoy falconry displays in the picturesque gardens between April and October each year.
