Bakehouse Close in Edinburgh, Scotland is not your average alleyway off the Royal Mile. Back in the day, this place was a hotspot for all things scandalous and seedy. Think dens of vice, guidebooks for gentlemen tourists looking for companionship, and even a pub called The Cock and Trumpet where Robert Louis Stevenson used to hang out. Nowadays, you can still see remnants of this colorful history, including a plaque with info on the infamous Ranger's Impartial List. Plus, Outlander fans might recognize it as the spot where Jamie and Claire had their Print Shop reunion. So, if you're into a bit of historical scandal mixed with pop culture references, Bakehouse Close is the place to be!
