Punta Tombo is a must-visit spot in Patagonia where over a million Magellan Penguins flock every year to breed. Visitors can get up close and personal with these adorable creatures, but remember, no touching! The reserve was established in 1979 to protect this unique penguin colony, making it a special place to experience the wonders of nature.

  • Other wildlife: guanacos 🦙, rheas 🦆, and sea lions 🦭

  • Walking trails allow close encounters (no touching!) 🚶‍♂️❌

  • Fly to Trelew from Buenos Aires (2h flight) ✈️

  • Drive from Trelew (2h) via Route 3 + Route 75 🛣️

  • No public transport – rental car or tour required 🚐

  • Foreign visitors: $18,000 ARS (adults), $9,000 ARS (kids) 🌍

  • National visitors: $6,500 ARS (adults), $3,500 ARS (kids) 🇦🇷
