Every August and September, this park comes alive with carpets of colourful wildflowers – it's downright magical! You might also spot different antelopes on your drive here, as well as mountain zebras and all different kinds of birds. It takes around 1.5 hours to get to West Coast National Park from Cape Town and you can combine your trip with a stay in Yzerfontein or the Langebaan Lagoon. To explore the park, you can either take part in educational activities such as guided walks through the area or opt to explore it independently - but please, please stay on the paths and don't destroy the flowers for a photo.
