The tour begins at Kolonihavnen (the colony harbor), where you will board an open boat for the journey to Nordlandet. The boat ride is estimated to take around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the campsite, you will be helped ashore and introduced to the camp and its equipment.
After settling in, it's recommended that you take out the grilling equipment and enjoy a delicious dinner by grilling your own food. The evening can be spent relaxing in the heated communal tent, taking in the beautiful fjord landscape that surrounds you.
Day 2: Rest, Hike, Fish & Sail
The second day is yours to create and enjoy. The landscape surrounding the camp offers outstanding opportunities for various activities.
Hiking: Take a short trip inland to explore the mountainous terrain of Nordlandet. The area is rich in wildlife, and you might be lucky enough to encounter reindeer, hares, and foxes during your hike. The natural beauty is awe-inspiring, and the solitude of the area provides a perfect escape.
Fishing: The rivers of Nordlandet are famous for their mountain trout, and the area offers excellent fishing opportunities. Many of the rivers here are home to spawning Arctic char, making it an ideal spot for anglers.
Water Sports: One of the unique offerings of this camp, compared to other tent camps around Nuuk, is the opportunity for water sports. The camp is equipped with canoes, suitable for both beginners and experienced paddlers. The nearby inland lake provides perfect conditions for canoeing, with calm waters and stunning views for paddlers of all skill levels.

On the final day, you have the morning and afternoon free to enjoy the camp and its surroundings. You can take one last hike, relax by the fjord, or simply enjoy the serenity of the area. Your departure back to Nuuk isn’t until 4:00 PM, so you have ample time to experience more of Nuuk's wilderness before returning to the city.
