Message from Maria Smolenskaya

Meidan Bazaar in Old Tbilisi is one of the most beloved places in the Caucasus where past and present intersect. Both locals and tourists flock to this timeless landmark, as it offers an exciting glimpse into centuries old Georgian culture and customs. The Bazaar's underground precinct houses a variety of Georgian wines, traditional clay dishware, local honey, jams, and even art pieces. Artisans living amongst the workshops and stalls, have named the streets after their respective professions such as Silver Street, Goldsmith Street, Iron Street, Bread Square, and Wine Rise. It is a fantastic place to get a taste of authentic Georgian products and souvenirs, while admiring stunning views of Rike Park, the Mtkvari River, Metekhi Bridge, Metekhi Church, and Narikala Fortress. Whether you're a history buff or just wanting to soak up the atmosphere, Meidan Bazaars promises an experience that transcends time.
