What you'll do

Meet Rán at Sogin, a peculiar high-temperature area in Reykjanes Peninsula. The whole area is transformed by geothermal energy and gives the slopes formed by the Sogasel stream a variety of colors. Rán will take pictures of you while you explore this stunning area. Sogin is a short drive from Hafnarfjörður and there’s an easy 40 minute hike involved so bring your hiking shoes along. This trip is only possible during summer/autumn.

Experience being hidden, alone, between these beautiful mountains on the Reykjanes Peninsula. This place gives you mesmerizing views of nature's masterpiece and makes you feel like you´re deep in the highlands when you're actually just outside the city!

Ran is a full-time freelance photographer. Born and raised in Iceland, living in Reykjavik, with roots firmly planted in the stunning Westfjords – her absolute favorite place. She studied photography at the Technical College in Reykjavík and has been running her own business for 12 years. Ran started her career with portraits mostly, but now she's also focused on landscapes, travel photography, production stills, and BTS shots. She also dabbles with drones and documents people visiting Iceland. Ran is driven by the captivating beauty of her country and being partly raised in the Westfjords she gravitates towards remote areas and hidden gems.
