This trail system in Rocky Lake North offers a range of options, from shorter walks to longer hikes, all winding through rocky outcrops, forests, and lakeside views. The trail is fairly easy. Along the way, lookout points provide panoramic views of Rocky Lake, which are especially breathtaking at sunrise or sunset.
The area is home to wildlife such as moose, black bears, and a variety of bird species, so it's important to stay alert and carry a bear spray!
One downside we noticed was the trash left along some parts of the trail and graffiti on the rocks by the lake. If you're up for an adventure, this spot is worth exploring; otherwise, you might want to skip it.
Autumn is a particularly beautiful time to visit, as the surrounding boreal forests transform into a stunning tapestry of oranges, reds, and yellows, with the vibrant colors reflecting off the water.
Please, always respect the areas you visit and follow Leave No Trace principles to keep them enjoyable for both locals and visitors.
