Fluhalp is a cozy mountain hut and restaurant near the Sunnegga mountain in Zermatt.

If you are visiting the Stellisee lake or doing the popular 5 Lake Trail, this is a nice detour for a snack or lunch with a glacier view. We loved our truffle fondue with a nice bottle of local wine. What a treat!

If you want an easy mountain hut overnight, this would be a good choice, since it's not too far of a walk from the gondola station. Book ahead though, it can fill up fast, especially on weekends.

How to get here

In Zermatt, get to the Sunnegga funicular - Vispastrasse 34, 3920 Zermatt. Ride up the funicular, then transfer to the gondola up to Blauherd.

Follow trail signs to the Stellisee. Hike past the lake, following signs to Flühalp.

After eating, you can return the way you came or hike down to Sunnegga on the 5 Lake Trail.
