Is it safe for girls?

Bangkok feels and is one of the safest cities in the world for travelers. If you’re a female traveling alone, you are not alone and you will feel safe the whole trip.

Are all the Thai girls ladyboys?

Absolutely not, Thai girls are stunning, as are some of the ladyboys, but assume most of the girls you meet are women.

Are Thai men aggressive?

Not at all, you’ll find that 99.99% of the people you meet in Thailand are super helpful and friendly.

Is the food safe?

Personally, I have gotten sick once in 10 years from the food and that was from KFC, the food here is cooked to perfection, just be careful with the seafood as you would anywhere else in the world.

Are there any key dates?

Yes, Songkran in April, 13-15 is usually a fun time to come, 3 days of waterfights and festivals.

We have two, either hot and sunny or hot and wet! Rainy season is usually from July to Mid November.

How to avoid rush hour traffic

Motorbikes are typically how we get around during rush hour times, use grab to book these.

Are there a lot of scams around?

Not really, but don’t get in an unmetered taxi, unless it's a grab, be wary of the tuk tuks selling you tours, there can be hidden costs and these guys usually take you to their friends places to upsell you.

Are there lots of pickpockets

I wouldn’t say lots, I’ve never been a victim of anything like this, either way, stay vigilant, keep your bag close and in front of you where possible. However it can happen on Khaosan road.

Will I run out of things to see and do?

Absolutely not, there is things we still now even after years of going out regularly.

Is it dirty?

There are some parts of Bangkok that are sub standard but 80% of the streets are clean, all the restaurants hygiene standards are very high.
