Clearwater Lake is a 24km long lake in Wells Gray Provincial Park, located at the end of the unpaved section of the Clearwater Valley Road. It is possible to see a little of the lake from the boat launch and Osprey Cafe, but the true beauty of this lake is revealed on a boat or paddling trip.

The shoreline is mostly forested with about a dozen sandy beaches. Most of the sandy beaches are backed with a designated campground.

There are nine campgrounds total, spread relatively evenly along both west and eastern shores. Each of these water accessible campgrounds have tent spots, at least one outhouse, metal food cache, fire pit and picnic table (most have multiple). Access is always from a sandy or pebble beach.

Canoe rentals are available from Clearwater Lake Tours at the Osprey Cafe. Read more about canoe trips on Clearwater Lake in this guide. Clearwater Lake connects to Azure Lake via a short river section.
