Launched in 1914, the SS Sicamous provided vital transportation services up and down Okanagan Lake for local people and businesses for decades. Now a museum and heritage site, visitors are encouraged to step back in time while exploring the various levels (cabins, kitchen, cargo deck, lounges). There is a working miniature railway model too.
For me, the Sicamous is an icon of Penticton. Located at the end of the Okanagan Lake promenade, be sure to take a walk and visit at least the outside.
