If you really want a remote West Coast experience, consider a trip to Bamfield. The village is separated into two by the Bamfield Inlet - a water taxi connects the two.

Look out for wildlife, take a fishing charter, hike the rugged trail to a view of the Cape Beale Lighthouse and soak up the coastal scenery! Pachena Bay is one of Vancouver Island's most beautiful beaches and is just a few kilometres south, close to the Huu-ay-aht First Nations community of Anacla.

Pachena Bay is also one of the trailheads for the famous West Coast Trail.
