The Carmanah Valley is home to one of the best collections of accessible huge trees on Vancouver Island, including magnificent old growth Douglas Fir, Western Red Cedar and Sitka Spruce. Mossy, misty and full of amazingly huge trees, this is one of those truly special places in the world.
Carmanah Walbran Provincial Park is located on the western edge of Vancouver Island, access is via unpaved roads only - bring a vehicle with decent clearance and be self sufficient.
