Mount Boucherie is a 50 million year old extinct volcano that looms over West Kelowna. There are several hiking routes to its 758m summit, with the Mount Boucherie Rush Trail being my favourite.
The 6km return trail has one of the best effort to reward ratios of any hiking trail in the Kelowna area! It features a lot of switchbacks but there are pretty level and long. Gorgeous views of West Kelowna and Okanagan Lake appear almost right away, so there's plenty to look at.
Be sure to start this trail very early in summer as there is no shade.
