The Bard & Banker has great ambience and is a solid example of a classic Canadian pub. The building was constructed in 1883 and opened as a branch of the Bank of British Columbia. Converted to a pub in 2008, the property still retains many original features.

The menu has many pub favourites such as burgers, wings and pizza mixed in with some British (bangers and mash, steak and Guiness stew) and modern BC dishes (mostly seafood). Live bands play almost every night.
