Johnston Canyon Campground is situated on the Bow Valley Parkway, almost exactly half way between Banff and Lake Louise. It is within walking distance of the very popular Johnston Canyon - a huge bonus, since visiting in the early morning or late evening is the quietest time.

There are 132 vehicle accessible sites, most large with plenty of space for more than one tent/vehicle. Johnston Canyon is one of the only non-town (Banff, Lake Louise) national park campgrounds with showers.

Reservations launch in January each year on the Parks Canada website.

A Parks Canada parks pass is required to explore Banff National Park ($22/day for a vehicle of up to 7 people).
