On a low budget but still want to stay in downtown Vancouver? I've heard great things about the YWCA Hotel.

The location is fantastic, being walkable to everywhere downtown. The catch is that the cheapest rooms have shared bathrooms. If that isn't a dealbreaker, then you're saving around $150/night in the summer months!
