North Thompson River Provincial Park campground is a good alternative to the campgrounds in Wells Gray Provincial Park. It is ideal for travellers heading west and looking to reduce the drive between the park and the Whistler area.

The campground is on the basic side with no showers but the river setting is quite lovely. There are 53 sites, most reservable four months in advance via the BC Parks website.
