This entry-by-donation museum in the village of Valemount is worth a visit while travelling through the area and looking for a little local insight. It sits in an old railway station building, which sets the scene for some of the interior exhibits. Constructed in 1914, the train station existed before Valemount officially did!

One of the most interesting exhibits focuses on the 1950 Canoe River train crash. I had never heard of this incident before. There are some displays outside too.
