Welcome to Ticino!

You will start your first day in Lugano, which will be your base for the rest of your time. Once you arrive you will immediately notice a completely different vibe here as compared to Switzerland: with swaying palm trees, warm lake breeze and gorgeous views of Lac Maggiore.

To arrive in Lugano city centre, you can either take the local bus outside the train station, or transfer to the funicular that brings you straight down.

After checking into your accommodation in Lugano, start your day with a visit to the stunning Parco Ciani. Stroll along the beautiful lakeside promenade, through the well-manicured gardens, and enjoy the serene lake views.

In the afternoon treat your taste buds to a delightful lunch at Gabbani, a local Swiss-Italian restaurant. Explore Lugano's charming old town, indulge in some boutique shopping. In case of wet weather, visit the LAC for an afternoon of art and culture appreciation.

As the sun sets, enjoy dinner at La Fermata serving comfort food like burgers and fries, offering a perfect end to your first day in Ticino.
