Wirtshaus Galliker is a cozy and charming bar located in Lucerne, Switzerland. With a rich history dating back to 1856, this family-run establishment has been serving up traditional Swiss cuisine for generations.

You can tell its well loved by the locals and tourists alike, as the place gets crowded very fast by the time its 6.30pm! I loved how quaint and elegant this restaurant is, it looks exactly like how it was back then in the olden days and already the architecture and ambiance makes up half of the lovely dining experience.

The food here is especially outstanding, a mixture of German, Swiss and French dishes - think Wiener schnitzel, veal cordon bleu and Rosti potatoes. Some of the dishes I would recommend are the rosti with veal, and the Pot Au Feu comes highly recommended.

As recommended by the waitress, the Swiss white Petite Arvine is also excellent so please have a bottle to go with your dishes when you visit!
