Underground glacier waterfalls inside mountain!

If you ever visit Lauterbrunnen, the Trümmelbach Falls is a must-visit stop! They are the only glacier waterfalls in the world that you can be visited inside a mountain, using lifts, tunnels, and walkways. These falls carry meltwater from the Jungfrau glaciers down to the valley, with up to 20,000 liters of water rushing down every second! Just imagine the sheer force.

You'll enjoy the unique experience of walking through tunnels, feel the mist on your face, hear the roar of the water, and be amazed by the incredible rock formations carved by centuries of erosion.

The most spectacular time to visit Trummelbach Falls is in the summer when the snow melts and the volume of water gushing down increases. Try to go early in the day before the tour groups arrive.

TIP: Trummelbach Falls is a great rainy day activity and the waterfall is even more powerful when it rains. However, if the weather gets really bad, the falls may be closed. So it’s a good idea to check ahead.
