Hundafoss Waterfall in South Iceland is a picturesque spot nestled in the Skaftafell Nature Reserve, part of Vatnajokull National Park.

Location: Hundafoss is situated in Skaftafell, which is part of Vatnajökull National Park in southeast Iceland. It is located approximately 320 kilometers (200 miles) southeast of Reykjavik.

Accessibility: To reach Hundafoss, visitors can park at the Skaftafell Visitor Center and take a hiking trail that leads through the beautiful Icelandic landscape. The trail to Hundafoss is part of the larger network of trails in Skaftafell and can be accessed by following signs from the visitor center.

Best Time to Visit: Hundafoss can be visited year-round, but the best time is during the summer months (June to August)

Hiking: The hike to Hundafoss is moderate in difficulty and suitable for most hikers. It takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours round trip from the Skaftafell Visitor Center, depending on your pace and stops for photography.

Facilities: The Skaftafell Visitor Center offers parking, restrooms, information about the national park, and a café. There are no facilities directly at Hundafoss itself, so it's recommended to bring water and snacks for your hike.
