Dynjandi Waterfall, also known as Fjallfoss, is a majestic waterfall in the remote Westfjords of Iceland. Cascading some 100 meters like a beautiful bridal veil, it's truly the Jewel of the Westfjords. With six smaller waterfalls along the way, a short hike leads to this breathtaking natural wonder. Location: Dynjandi is situated in the remote Westfjords region of Iceland, near the town of Þingeyri. It is part of the Dynjandisá River, which flows into the Arnarfjörður fjord.
Accessibility: To reach Dynjandi, you typically drive on Route 60 (also known as Vestfjarðarvegur) from Ísafjörður, the largest town in the Westfjords. The waterfall is located approximately 17 kilometers (10.5 miles) off Route 60 on a gravel road. The drive includes a hike from the parking lot to the base of the waterfall, which takes about 15-20 minutes.
