3 hour return hike with unique rock formations and views

Bell Rock lookout is a medium intensity walk located north of Napier, perfect for an adventurous day out. The track has a variety of vegetation and bird watching opportunities with views of the Mahia Peninsula, Te Kooti's Lookout and the Kaweka mountain range from the summit. Locals recommend doing the track on a clear sunny day and bringing good solid walking shoes as the trail can get quite steep. At the top take in the panoramic views and watch large numbers of tui, bellbird and kereru soar around. On the return journey, there is the option to take a alternative route and explore slightly different terrain. Bell Rock provides the best of Hawke's Bay's outdoor environment, you won't regret it!
