There is no way your kids will get bored on this walk!
Because not only is there a constant flow of kayakers and rafters passing you on the trail, you can also borrow one of the adventure back packs from the @thenationalwhitewatercentre which is packed full of maps, activity sheets and even some binoculars, making a beautiful river walk even more fun!

The trail is only 2.5km long along a nice flat footpath, it took us about 1 hour to complete. Which was perfect on a cold rainy day, and left time for a play in the park followed by coffee and ice-cream at the cafe.

The adventure bags included:
👍 Some activity sheets and a scavenger hunt
👍 A map of the trail
👍 A pencil case
👍 A tape measure
👍 Some binoculars

These kept my eldest (7) occupied the whole way round the trail - showing us the way on the map, finding things for her scavenger hunt and identifying and even measuring trees. My youngest (4) wasn't that into the worksheets but loved the binoculars and watching the kayakers and rafters tackle the white water rapids.
