My favourite thing about this walk (aside from the stunning views and crystal clear lake) is that you can tailor it to your families ability without missing anything. The full "Precipice walk" has incredible 360 views out over southern Eryri (Snowdonia) and towards the sea, but does have a section along a narrow ridge that is not suitable for young children. However that doesn't mean you have to miss out on this walk, as I have created a route around the lake and out to a viewpoint where you can still appreciate the stunning scenery without tackling the ridge walk. (see route in link below).

And if you have young children that would love to play in the lake but won't walk as far there's also the shorter Llyn Cwnwch route, which takes you through the stunning woodland to the shores of the lake.

LENGTH: 6km or 4km (lake only route)

TIME IT TOOK US TO COMPLETE: 3 hours for the 6km route, with lots of stops to play and explore and collect bilberrys

FOOD & DRINK: We took a picnic as there is nothing that close, but loads of options in Dolgellau
