Getting to Salto do Cabrito is easier than you might think. The waterfall is located in the Fajã de Baixo area, just a short drive from Ponta Delgada (15 minutes). Once you’re near the base of the falls, you’ll find signs guiding you to the Salto do Cabrito trail. The trail itself is pretty easy to follow and not too challenging, so it’s perfect for just about anyone.

BParking is available at the entrance of the trail, and from there, it’s a quick walk to the waterfall. If you’re a bit more adventurous and up for a little extra hiking, there are additional paths that’ll take you higher up, offering even better views. Just make sure you’re wearing sturdy shoes, as the trail can get a little muddy.

Salto do Cabrito isn’t just a waterfall. It’s a whole experience. The waterfall itself drops about 40 metres into a deep pool below, surrounded by lush greenery and moss-covered rocks.
