Alright, this one’s a proper local-kept secret, and I still can’t believe I was lucky enough to get a pin drop from a local! If you’re up for a bit of an adventure, this hidden rock pool near Sleaford (just before Whalers Way) is absolutely unreal.
You’ll want to park at the last carpark before the Whalers Way gate, then it’s a short walk in on foot. You’ll spot an old ladder leading down to a swimming hole, which is already pretty epic, but here’s the trick—don’t jump in just yet. If you turn right at the base of the ladder, you’ll find the most incredible rock pool, tucked away from the swell and totally protected from the wind. And the best part; you’ll probably have it all to yourself!
Not gonna lie, getting here is a bit of a mission, so wear sturdier shoes than I did—scrambling over the rocks in dodgy thongs was not my finest move. But once you’re floating in crystal-clear water, with the insane coastline around you, it’s so worth it.
Not really pet-friendly, since it’s a bit of a scramble and a proper rugged coastline, and I think it may be a conservation area (check this - I'm not too sure), but if you love secret spots and wild adventures, this is one of the best I’ve found!
