This must be probably my favourite waterfall from whole of North Iceland. It ticks all the boxes : unique location in a canyon surrounded by basalt columns, powerful and not crowded.

It is a little detour from the main road (about 1hr) but worth the drive. Road is gravel with the last section quite rough for 2wd, but manageable.
