Bakers Narrows Provincial Park is a beautiful provincial park along the shores of Lake Athapapuskow, known for its crystal-clear waters. It's located about 20 mins drive away from the city of Flin Flon. Best Things to Do at Bakers Narrows Provincial Park

• Climb the Bakers Narrows Scenic Tower for breathtaking views of Lake Athapapuskow. The short 0.2 km trail takes about 5 minutes to reach the top, and sunset is the perfect time to go! You’ll get stunning views of Lake Athapapuskow once at the top.

• Swim at the scenic beach—Bakers Narrows Provincial Park has a small but beautiful beach.

• Fishing, boating, canoeing, and kayaking—explore hidden bays and rocky shorelines.

• Birdwatching—bring binoculars to spot various waterfowl species.

• Stargazing & northern lights viewing—late August to early September is the best time for aurora sightings at the Park.

• Bakers Narrows Campground (book in advance via Manitoba Parks).

• Bakers Narrows Lodge (fully equipped cabins, restaurant on-site).

• Hotels in Flin Flon (20 mins drive away):

  • Ravens Hollow (luxury domes, clean and cozy, perfect for northern lights viewing). We stayed here for a few nights and it was amazing. We caught the Northern lights straight from the dome.

  • Victoria Inn (decent stay, but our experience here included a clogged bathtub—overall okay). They have an indoor pool.

Where to Eat

• If you’re staying at the Bakers Narrows campground, you should bring all food and supplies. If you need to do some additional groceries, you can head out to the nearest city in Flin Flon (20 mins drive away) where you’ll find some grocery stores.

• Bakers Narrows Lodge is another option where they offer an on-site restaurant.

• Try Local eateries in Flin Flon:

  • Mike’s Ice N’ Burger Hut—famous for big burgers and milkshakes.

  • Orange Toad—great coffee and lattes.

  • Inferno Shawarma and Donair—for Middle Eastern flavors.

  • Aurora Pine & Bistro—for fine dining.

What to Know Before Visiting

• Flin Flon is only 20 minutes away, so supplies are within reach.

• Limited cell service in some park areas.

• A Manitoba Parks Pass is required for entry. Purchase online or at a park office before arriving at Bakers Narrows Provincial Park (Not applicable for 2025).
