This trail starts at the top of Mt Niesen and hikes down to the Schwandegg middle station. You start along a dramatic ridge, then descends through alpine meadows, with spectacular views the entire way.

How to get there

Location: Niesen funicular Heustrichstrasse 12, 3711 Mülenen

By car: 25 min drive from Interlaken. Parking next to funicular station.

By train: Mülenen, 50 min by train from Interlaken

Open: The funicular typically runs from the end of April through early November.
