Designed by Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí, it began its long and ongoing construction journey in 1882 and is still yet to be completed. It is a magnificent display of Gothic revival, Art Nouveau and Modernista architecture. A stunning tribute to its designer, it is currently the largest unfininshed Catholic church in the world. The result of intense dedication and artistic skill, its building work has been deemed a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was even consecrated as a minor basilica by Pope Benedict XVI in 2010.
