It's difficult to find much information about this waterfall online, as it is off the beaten tourist track! Located around 40km east of Akureyri, Barnafoss is downstream from the very famous Goðafoss and does require a 4x4 to access due to its location. Virtually unknown to most travel guides and maps, this waterfall has got to be one of the last hidden gems on the island!
