Message from Jessie Moore

The King’s Head at Bledington is a real find, not least because it’s just a few miles from both Stow-on-the-Wold and Chipping Norton. English dishes made from fresh local produce are the order of the day here.

Portions are hearty, yet the food is elegantly executed and packed with flavour. Dishes like devilled kidneys, a melon starter and pork belly give the menu a retro feel.

Yet these are offered alongside thoroughly modern mains like tiger prawn linguine, Indian-style vegan curry and a dry aged beef burger.
