If you’re staying in the Cotswolds hub of Stow-on-the-Wold then you cannot miss The Old Butcher’s.

The building was once the local meat store and today there’s a good selection of meat and seafood on the menu.

An interesting layout adds appeal to the menu: dishes are categorised as shellfish, small plates, raw, fried or charcoal-grilled dishes.

There’s also a list of around half a dozen other mains such as twice-baked souffle, lobster mac ‘n’ cheese or Yorkshire grouse.

I’d definitely recommend trying the desserts, and with around 10 to choose from, I know you’re in for a real treat!
