Perched atop a hill with breathtaking views of the Cotswolds countryside, I consider The Feathered Nest Country Inn to be a bit of a hidden gem.

A quintessential English retreat, this 300-year-old former malthouse combines rustic elegance with modern amenities.

There are a handful of uniquely decorated rooms within the inn, all offering a blend of luxury and comfort for a restful night’s sleep.

I stayed in The Cottage and I’d highly recommend it if you plan to live out your cottagecore fantasies!

Complete with exposed beams, an open fireplace, a free-standing bath tub and a super-king sized bed, I found it to be a wonderfully homely but luxurious place to stay.

The real highlight of my stay was the exceptional meal I had in the award-winning restaurant. As I visited in the summer, it was warm enough to sit outside where I enjoyed my meal with beautiful views over the Cotswolds countryside.

In the colder months, the interiors provide a cosy retreat where you can relax by the crackling fire in the bar with a glass of wine in hand.
